Help Wanted

This weekend I am headed here for a women's conference...

And I need help loading this with music for beach time...

I would love some requests for a good worship CD and/or some good mellow music. I seriously only have four albums on my ipod right now. (To give me some credit, I've only had it since December and we lost all our music when our computer crashed last year).

Our family could also use some prayer. I've never been away from W for more than a few hours and I get teared up even thinking about being away from him for these three nights. Andrew might need more prayer than me, though... he is going to be a single Dad for the extended weekend! I know he will do great and it will be good for both of them to get some "men's time."  W could use some of that... I'm afraid he's spent far too much time at Target.

If you purchased any of the music you lost from iTunes they will grant you a one time deal where you can re-download anything you purchased from them that was lost due to a hard drive crash. You will probably have to beg and will probably have to listen to a lecture about how you should back up your music on a separate drive, but if it was a lot of music it might be worth it to at least try... You should be able to contact them using the support page. Good luck and I hope the trip is amazing!

Here are some of my current favorite bands... they are mellow. Not sure if I would necessarily call them "beach music" but good non-the-less.

Band of Horses, The Civil Wars, Cold War Kids, Local Natives.

Hope you have fun! will be thinking about you, and especially Andrew! Chris is keeping M for one night this weekend so I can go on our womens' retreat thing and he's freaking out a little :)

Indelible Grace! Indelible Grace! Indelible Grace! Seriously. You will love them. We have ALL of their albums. Also, check out noisetrade.com. Artists upload their music for free downloads, and we've gotten a lot of great stuff from there. Sandra McCracken has her Gyspy Flat Road album on there now, New York Hymns had a great Songs for Lent album there, the Gospel Coalition has a sampler there, and so many more. You really should check it out. Have a great time!

ok, so i'm a little late on this post, but you would love ben rector. he's on tour with matt wertz right now, so it's the same "guy with an acoustic guitar" type music.

looks like you made it ok without W. i can only imagine how hard that would be. i call to remind ed to feed sam wiggins when i come home late, and he's a freaking dog! i mean, he's my son, but he's still a dog.
