Eight Months

Hello everyone! I can't believe it's already time for my eight month post. I've been busy with a lot of things this month. I had a couple visitors (MG and Aunt Allie) come earlier this month.
My feet hardly ever touched the ground.

I also took a trip to my soon to be new home: Hattiesburg, MS. It looks like there will be plenty of places for me to explore (they even have a zoo!), so I'm okay with the move. I'm happy wherever Dad and Mom are!

On the way home, we stopped at the beach for a couple of days and I LOVED it. The sand was so fun to play with I also really loved the pool... it made me excited about spending time at the lake this summer. Mom says we will spend lots of time in the water there!

This weekend we went to help my great grandparents move apartments in Florence, AL. It was fun to see them again and I was glad to celebrate Easter with them, Grandan and Baba!

We stopped in Birmingham on the way home and I got to see all four of my cousins! I had met Blake once before, but this was my first time to meet Cooper because he had stay in the hospital a little longer so he could grow big and strong. I can't wait until we are all running around together! We three boys are going to be in the same grade... I bet teachers will be glad we don't live in the same city. Two Harwell boys at once is probably enough.

Pshew. We've done a lot of things this month. I also had a trip to Atlanta in there somewhere... but we were too busy to take pictures. Now on to the things I have been doing lately...

Mom has affectionately started to call me "Scooter Butt" because I am never still. I started crawling at the beginning of the month. I was slow at first, but now I can shimmy! When I get real excited about something I see I will scream with laughter as I'm crawling.

Almost two weeks ago I started to pull up to my knees to get into my toy box. Mom was obviously not retrieving the toys I wanted.

The next day I decided that I could stand up and get in the toy box easier. It was a little trickier getting down, though, so I don't do that as often.

I think it made Mom nervous because she decided to start dumping all my toys out on the floor so I could get whatever I wanted without the threat of falling. And thus I became King of the Living Room...

I try to climb anything I can get my hands on. Mom says she's trying to hold off until we move to get a gate for the stairs, but I'm not sure if she can wait that long.

Last night when we got home I showed them how I could stand up in bed all by myself! I was really proud, but all I got out of it was a lowered bed. This did however allow me to stay up a little past bedtime and climb around my mattress like a jungle gym.

As far as eating goes, I've eaten lots of new things like green beans, apples, bananas... Mommy and Daddy make all of my food and freeze it and I've gotten spoiled. I don't like it when they use the canned stuff when we travel. For Easter, the "Easter Baba" brought me a new sippy cup and I tried it out for the first time. I did pretty good for a few minutes and then I just wanted to play with it. Mom says she's so ready for me to hold the bottle by myself! I think I can do it but I just love the cuddle time with Mommy.

I also have started eating rice puffs and teething biscuits. I LOVE both of them and I think Mom and Dad love them too because they keep me pretty quiet for awhile.

I've also started to wave, but I'm a little confused at when the appropriate time to use it is. On the car ride home yesterday, Mom would ask me to wave and then give me a rice puff after I did it. So naturally I started to raise my hand up when I was ready for another snack! Mom laughed a lot but I wasn't sure what was so funny.

Okay, I'm tired of typing... I have lots of places to go and things to see around here. Hope you all had a great Easter! See you next month.

I love reading what Wilson is up to these days. Its neat because he is 3 months older than Finn so it reminds me of what to expect next.
