Mississippi and the beach

Last week we took a trip to our upcoming new home: Mississippi! We started our road trip in Starkville where we met two graduating seniors who will be a part of our team to Southern Miss. (More on that later... very exciting news.) We then went further south to Hattiesburg for a visit to Southern Miss. It was such a sweet time of affirmation that this is where we are supposed to be. Our favorite part was getting to sit in on a Bible study for Greeks that's already happening (started by a former Crusade staff). The students were awesome. They are so hungry to know what God has to say about life and how theirs should line up with that in light of what Jesus has done for us. As soon as we walked in the girls grabbed Wilson and his bottle from me, sat down, and we started talking like we did this every week. It's such an encouraging feeling knowing we are walking into a ministry where there is already trust built into the relationships. That's half of the work!

Here are some pics of us on campus. We didn't get any with the students because we felt weird pulling out our camera for our first meeting ("Don't worry... these are just going on our blog!")
After Hattiesburg, we decided to spend the weekend at the beach since we were already on the coast. I couldn't wait to see how W reacted to the beach. He loved the sand... we couldn't keep his hands out of it. What he did not love was staying on the beach towel, and thus Mom and Pops did not get much beach time. His favorite thing was the pool (which unfortunately I got no pictures of). He screamed with joy the WHOLE time we were in there and would even kick his feet like he was ready to take off. Let's be real, beach time is not that relaxing now that we have a little one in tow... but I still hope that there are many more family beach vacations to come!
(PS... I can't figure out why these pics are showing up so blurry on here. Hope to fix it soon.)

Awesome, I'm so excited for y'all! Also, beach time gets even less relaxing one he starts running!
